Kelly Clarkson, an American actor, singer and songwriter who took home the American Idol competition in its debut season, and became America's Sweetheart. The win was more than an enormous success however, it also secured her a recording contract for several albums with RCA Records 19 Recordings & "S Records. Since then she has made several studio albums. Three of that reached the top of the US Billboard 200' chart, while her other albums barely fell short of the top spot. She has been one of American Idol's most successful performers. She was a bit flimsy as she found recognition for her diverse musical and theme styles, often writing songs of her own. Because of her distinctiveness and vocal prowess, she received praise from the public as well as numerous awards. She's been honored with the Grammy Award 3 times. She also has been featured in television and films. She also wrote her children's book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and been involved in numerous charities.
